Thanos Kollias has been reading, collecting
and drawing comics from an early age.
After several of his drawings graced the pages of the Greek editions of Spider-Man, he successfully participated
in the Super Spider-Man and Nemesis contests.
He completed 2-year studies with a scholarship
on comics and began a long-term collaboration
with Vassilis Heilas on the historical YPSILON,
“The First Greek Super Hero Comic” (Soul Twinkles Publications).
The collaboration continued and was consolidated with MICHALIS PONTIKAS and LOCAR.
After a long hiatus, he returned to the limelight
by illustrating the superhero comic ETERNAL
(published by Phase Productions), as well as GROWL
for EPIFANY, again with scripts by Vassilis.
Highlights the recent revival in comics of the
legendary SUPERHUMAN by Stelios Anemodouras for
Mikros Heros publications, where he fully undertook
the duties of scripting / illustrating
and the book HEROES OF PHILOSOPHY for which
he fully undertook the artistic editing.
His most recent collaboration is with OOPS Comics,
where he illustrated the latest issue of
the Trelitses comic.
Although originally from Piraeus,
Thanos lives in Keisariani, is married and has a son.
He works for the largest telecommunications company
in Greece.
