Dimitra Papadimitriou was born and works in Athens. She studied graphic design and scenography – costume design. She worked for many years as a graphic design teacher in private schools and as a set designer – costume designer in the theater. In 2015, she won a costume award in a competition organized by the Vakalo school. In recent years she has been illustrating children’s fairy tales. She cooperates with many publishing houses. In 2022, she won the first illustration prize in a competition organized by the cultural foundation of the Bank of Cyprus. The illustrated book “the year everything turned grey” was released by Kedros publications. In 2023, she won the first illustration prize in a competition of the association of Greek writers for the fairy tale “margaritarenia” published by Michalis Sideris publications. She is also a writer. Two of her books have been already published. “One girl and 19 stories” (Iolkos publications) and “X and Beta” (memento publications). Her short stories and poems are published in collective publications. She is a student in GoU’s “creative writing” Master’s Degree program.
